The Musa Group

The Musa Group has over 20 years of successful financial advisory and private equity activity in Africa. Over the two decades of operation, they have created both wealth and value for African entrepreneurs, global investors as well as communities at the base of the pyramid through impact investments.
In 2015 boutique private equity and advisory firm, Musa Capital added capacity by institutionalizing itself through the acquisition of commercial and industrial operations and taking on new shareholders.

The result was the creation of the Musa Group, a diversified trading and operating company with products and services in areas key to the transformation of South Africa and the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa. The company now operates within the housing, manufacturing, retail finance, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), and agriculture industries. The Group also retains its original Financial Advisory and Private Equity division.
The Musa Group is vested in the economic development of the continent – evidenced by the positive impact it has imparted on the communities in which it operates.

Musa’s Impact in Numbers

Did you know?

Dendrochronology is the dating and study of annual rings in trees. Defined more literally, this means “the study of time using the growth rings of trees.” Many trees make one growth ring each year, with the newest adjacent to the bark. For the entire period of a tree’s life, a year-by-year record or ring pattern is formed that reflects the way in which the tree grew. This means that the rings inside a tree symbolise how much the tree is expanding and growing over time. These rings symbolise the maturity, progress, shape and unique identity of the tree as it grows. These progressive rings are much like an investment that takes shape over time, maturing into a pertinent asset.
