HISTORY

The Musa Group was founded in 1995, with a vision of creating African value, using skills in Finance & Investment Banking.

Fund I invested in high growth undervalued African assets across a multi-sector base, including telecoms, financial services, agri-processing and property. In 2005, Musa relocated offices to Johannesburg and reconnected to its Investment Banking roots, including Mergers and Acquisition and Corporate Finance Advisory. This expansion built on Musa’s core competencies in deal-making and finance. In 2008, the second fund, the Musa Kubu Fund (‘’Fund II”) was launched with South Africa-based high net worth individuals and the Bakubung Ba-Ratheo community as investors. 2015 saw the transformation of Musa’s business into a fully-fledged operating platform.
