Why Namibia?

Namibia represents an attractive investment market based on its: stable and attractive macro-economic fundamentals, the importance placed on governance and transparency, the government’s focus on priority sectors such as agribusiness, infrastructure and manufacturing, and the key role that it plays in regional integration, including but not limited to the Walvis Bay Development Corridor which improves market access for Angola, Botswana, D.R.C., Malawi, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Local Partnerships

Musa Capital Namibia (“MCN”) is a partnership that leverages Global Mandate Consulting’s strong local knowledge and relationships and Musa Group’s 21-year investment expertise, sector knowledge and institutional fund management platform.

MCN launched the Namibian Mid-Cap Fund (“NMCF”) in September 2016 with a N$300mm commitment from the Government Institutions Pension Fund (“GIPF”).  NMCF is a Namfisa registered investment vehicle organised as a Trust in Namibia for the purpose of making equity and quasi-equity investments in private Namibian companies.

Fund Objectives

The Fund will provide expansion capital to small and medium-sized companies in the agribusiness, FMCG, financial services and light infrastructure sectors. NMCF’s focus on SMEs and priority sectors is consistent with the Harambee Prosperity Plan is expected to drive development and achieve sustainable returns to investors.
